We await those participants registered for a field trip at the registration kiosk in the main lobby (Mansfield Wing) of the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth 30 minutes before the indicated departure time of your activity. It is important to be there on time to receive you lunch box and facilitate departures. Also, this activity include walking so plan to bring coats and umbrellas in case of rain, as well as good walking shoes. This visit also includes travel by metro at your expense ($10 for a day pass). Please, bring your own water bottle.

You will be given a sheet with directions to facilitate your travel by metro. It will be important to follow your guide.

The organization Croquarium helps school children get a better sense of local fruits and vegetables - literally! Their playful sensory workshops are popular throughout the province. During this visit at Charles-Lemoyne Elementary School, we will learn about the various components of their program including farm to table activities and educational tools to support the creation of  school gardens. In the afternoon, the community group Maison de Quartier Villeray will present their collective gardening projects and culinary workshops in neighbourhood schools.

Field Trip Location: Montreal          
Cost: $ 15. Includes lunch but not the cost of public transport.

Croquarium

Croquarium, this national non-profit organization that contributes to the well-being of children in their living environments through food education focused on the pleasure of eating, from the earth to the table. Croquarium uses a playful approach to offer innovative projects ranging from the discovery of the origin of food to sensory taste education.
