During the conference, Farm to School launched living map of the emerging Canadian landscape of school food activities featuring over 700 schools, campuses and reaching 675,000 students to purchase over $16 million in local food. If you haven’t done so already, add you school to the school food map!

Grants

Farm to Cafeteria Canada, in partnership with Whole Kids Foundation, Sustain Ontario and the Public Health Association of British Columbia/Farm to School BC, have launched new Farm to School grants worth up to $10,000 each in Ontario and BC! These grants are “designed to build on and to further existing efforts to engage students and community in gardening, cooking, preserving, purchasing and serving healthy local foods in a salad bar at school”.  Visit Farm to Cafeteria website for eligibility and application information.
